This year, the auctions for the upcoming IPL season 4 had a mixed feeling for me. Unlike the high price paid to the foreign players in the last Season 3, this year, almost all the top paid players are Indians.
Gautam Gambhir is the highest paid player while senior players like Saurav Ganguly and Brian Lara were unsold. Even Rahul Dravid and VVS Lakshman got sold for a price just above to the base price. Among the unsold player list, one of the yester years star batsman Jesse Ryder is also there,
What wonders me is about the Pathan family. Both the brothers-Yusuf and Irfan together priced around $4 million.
