ATLANTA – Cupid struck an Acworth man with two Georgia Lottery wins on Valentine's Day. James McAllister, 62, was taking his wife to breakfast Feb. 14, when he played the game Millionaire Jumbo Bucks and won $5,000. A little later he went shopping for her Valentine's Day card and won $250,000 on the same game.
"It was because of Valentine's Day," McAllister said. "If it hadn't been for my wife, I probably wouldn't have won either time."
McAllister was stunned by his double win.
"I couldn't believe it," he said. "I was just in shock. Total shock."
Millionaire Jumbo Bucks is an instant game with $2.5 million top prizes and the highest payout percentage in Georgia history.
