Essential Qualif ication: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical chemistry or a
Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry with Pharmaceutics as essential subject of an university
established in India by the Law or its equivalent qualification recognised and notified by the
central Government for such purpose or the Associateship Diploma of the Institution of
Chemists(India) obtained by passing the Examination with “Analysis of Drugs and
Pharmaceuticals” as one of the subject.
Or
Bachelors Degree in Science or Graduation in medicine of an university recognised for this
purpose by the appointing authority and has had at least one years post graduate training
in a laboratory under (i) a Government analyst appointed under the act, or(ii) a chemical
Examiner, or (iii) the head of a n institution specifically approved for the purpose by the
appointing authority.
Provided that only those inspectors: i) who have not less than 18 months experience in the
manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in schedule-C:OR (ii) who have not
less then 18 months experience in testing of at least one of the substances specified in
schedule-C in a laboratory approved for this purpose by the licensing authority OR (iii)
who have gained experience of not less than 3 years in the inspection of firm manufacturing
any of the substances specified in schedule “C” appended to these rules during the tenure of
their service as Drug Inspectors shall be aulthorised to inspect the manufacture of the
substances mentioned in schedule-C.

(E)DEPARTMENT OF M.P.P. AND POWER (HPSEB)

Essential Qualification: Recognised Degree in Electrical Engineering(EE)/Degree in electrical &
Electronics Engineering(EEE) or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
Note: Candidates selected for appointment on contractual basis will be initially appointed for
one year which will be extended depending upon requirement of the services of such appointees
and further subject to high standard of work conduct and performance of such appointees.
Age Limit : 45 years and below as on 01-01-09 (enclose matric certificate for age proof).
Relaxation in upper age limit:- Relaxation in upper age is five years for SC / ST / OBC/ Children and
Grand Children of freedom fighters / Physically Handicapped/ Visually Impaired/ Blind/ Hearing
Impaired/ Govt. employees and Ex-servicemen of H.P. relaxation is as per Government instruction.
Eligibility: The eligibility of the candidates in terms of essential qualification, experience etc. shall be
reckoned as on the last normal date of receipt of application i.e. 27-02-2009.
OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE ABOVE POST(S)
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Knowledge of customs , manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and
suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
2.Fee in shape of Bank draft in favour of Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission for Rs. 250/-(Rupees
two hundred fifty)only, Rs.63/-(Rupees sixty three for SC/ST/OBC of H.P.only), , payable at Shimla, must
accompany the applications and send to the Secretary ,HPPSC, Nigam Vihar , Shimla-171002 (HP). Ex-
servicemen unless discharged at their own request before completion of normal tenure and Visually
handicapped candidates of H.P. are exempted from payment of application fee..Fee once paid will not be
refunded.
3.Category like General/ SC/ ST/ OBC are once claimed in the application form will not be changed
later on .
4.Number of post(s) is / are tentative and may increase or decrease for different categories.
5.Candidates will be called for interview, based on merit in the screening test, in cases where number of
eligible candidates for the post(s) is very large .
6.Attested copies of testimonials / documents in support of age/ date of birth, category to which he / she
belongs as applicable, educational qualification and experience besides fee in shape of bank draft must
be enclosed with the application, failing which application will be rejected. Separate application will have
to be sent for each category of post(s). In service candidates may apply to the Commission with requisite
fee and documents as advance copy, with information to his / her Head of Department / Office for issuing
NOC.
7. The candidates belonging to reserve categories (except Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and
Ward of Freedom Fighter) are required to give with their application a self declaration, format of which is
given at the end of application form in support of their claim for such a category. However, category
certificates will be produced by them at the time of viva-voce. The candidates belonging to
SC/ST/WFF/ Orthopaedically Handicapped/ Hearing Impaired/ Visually Impaired/ Ex-Servicemen
of H.P. will only be considered against the reserved posts for these categories and will submit their
testimonials along with application form.
8.The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to
interview or selection will be final and no correspondence / personal enquiries will be entertained. The
Commission will not be responsible for any delay in receipt of applications, due to any reasons
whatsoever.
Note :-(i):The candidates must attach self addressed post card with application for acknowledgement ,
indicating the name of the post applied for ,date of dispatch and Bank Draft No.
(ii):SC /ST/OBC certificates must be on parental basis of H.P.
(iii) :Re-checking / re-evaluation will not be allowed .
(iv):Disputes, if any , shall be subject to Court jurisdiction at Shimla.
