A city court on Monday granted bail to an alleged caretaker of a flat in south Delhi area where two suspected terrorists, allegedly
responsible for the recent serial blasts, were killed in a police encounter last month.

Abdul Rehman, the alleged caretaker of L-18 flat in Batla House colony near Jamia Nagar, was arrested on September 21 on the charges of forgery and cheating.

Additional Sessions Judge Pinky allowed his bail application on furnishing a personal and surety bond of Rs 20,000 each.

Rehman, a stenographer of Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department, was accused by the flat owner, Mohsin Nissar, who is an engineer in the same department, of forging his signature in the lease deed while giving away the flat to the two suspected terrorists on rent.

The court had on September 24 dismissed his bail plea. According to the police, Rehman had let out the flat to the suspects terrorists who carried out synchronised serial blasts that killed 26 persons in the capital on September 13
